BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 15-year-old was arrested for falsely reporting that she was sitting in the Town of Niagara court with a bomb and gun in her purse, police announced Wednesday.
At 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, the juvenile allegedly called dispatchers and said she was going to court with a bomb and gun in her purse.
She called back again at 12:24 p.m. and said she was sitting in the court with the bomb and gun in her purse.
The town hall was then placed on lockdown and the two parties inside of court were found to not be involved, police said. The area was searched and cleared, but remained on lockdown while officers investigated.
Police arrested the 15-year-old partly due to previous interactions and charged her with first-degree falsely reporting an incident. She was released on an appearance ticket to her family.
