The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
High pressure along the coast will keep most of us dry today, with a decent amount of sunshine. But an approaching storm system will start to change things by this evening.

Expect clouds to thicken up by late afternoon. Some in the Adirondacks could see a few, light, isolated showers. High temperatures peak in the 70’s across the region.

Tonight, steadier showers are possible in the Adirondacks and parts of the western Mohawk Valley and Catskills. Most everyone else will be dry. With the unsettled conditions, temperatures stay quite mild – only down to around 60 in Albany and in the 50’s elsewhere.

Rain finally moves into the remainder of our area by Tuesday afternoon. Steadier downpours could materialize at times, and one or two rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. Highs are still in the low to mid 70’s.

Cloudy with a couple stray sprinkles or showers on Wednesday. Better rain chances are expected for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It’s an extended unsettled stretch but, given the ongoing drought conditions across much of the region, it is very much needed.

It looks like it will be mostly dry by Sunday – at least we expect one nice day for this coming weekend!
