Six drivers crashed into rocks that fell from a dump truck on the Dolphin Expressway (State Road 836), leaving them stranded on Friday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol and the affected drivers.
It happened at around 6:20 a.m. in the area of Northwest 17th Avenue, FHP said.
The truck was going west when “its load of rocks became unsecured and fell onto the roadway,” authorities said.
Six vehicles that were traveling behind the truck collided into the debris.
No one was injured, but video shows several drivers who pulled over after hitting the unexpected hazard.

Maria Sanchez was on her morning commute when she saw the rocks.
“I thought it was like, at first a couple of small ones, and then [I saw] gigantic rocks in the middle of the road… and then I saw everybody pulling over,” she said. “And then I hit like a gigantic rock.”
Sanchez called the crash “a pain” and “trouble for no reason.”
Sandy Narcisse, who was on her way to school, said the accident was “scary.”
“I tried to swerve but it was impossible because I would’ve hit the wall, so unfortunately my car got busted because of the huge rocks,” she said. “The oil is leaking right now, so my car’s not drivable… It’s very dangerous this morning.”
One man was driving a taxi when he hit the debris.
“I really don’t know [what’s going on],” Rolando Roca said. “I just was coming from downtown to the airport, and I hit one of the rocks on the street and got a blown out tire. So I’m just trying to see, can I get out of here and fix that tire so I can keep on working.”
Other vehicles could also be seen with at least one flat tire.
FHP said the dump truck did not remain on scene and continued westbound.
Anyone with information on the truck is urged to contact FHP by dialing *FHP (*347).
