Braddock Road in Alexandria, Virginia, is closed after a vehicle crashed into a light pole early Wednesday morning, causing several power outages, according to Alexandria police.
West Braddock Road is closed in both directions between Fontaine and E Timber Branch Road and is expected to be closed all day, according to police.
Dominion Energy says there are significant power outages in the area and crews are on the scene working to restore power. As of 4:57 a.m., 456 outages were reported. According to Dominion Energy’s power outage map, customers could get power restored from between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
