PITTSBURGH — The Cubs have not yet clinched a spot in the postseason, but with the team trending toward ending its four-year drought, the club launched its “Fly the W” presale registration for playoff tickets on Monday.
Fans who are at least 18 can register at www.cubs.com/postseason to join the pool to win access to a limited number of select postseason tickets at Wrigley Field. Those chosen in the random drawing will receive an email with purchase instructions, and the tickets will be distributed through the MLB Ballpark app.
The Cubs (85-64) entered Monday in the top National League wild-card spot with a 3½-game lead on the Padres and an 8½-game lead on the Mets, who occupied the second and third wild-card spots, respectively.
If the Cubs can hold on to that position through the last two weeks of the season, they will host a best-of-three wild-card series at Wrigley Field. And If they advance, they’ll match up in the NL Division Series against the No. 1 seeded NL team, which would be the Brewers if the postseason began Monday.
The Cubs also are offering limited opportunities to buy postseason tickets with a deposit toward 2026 season tickets or suite rentals, available at www.cubs.com/tickets.
