Lynn police investigating cases of vandalism after two schools were broken into

Lynn police say they are investigating after multiple schools in the area were broken into and vandalized.

Police say both Lynn English High School and Classical High School were broken into early Saturday morning.

Investigators have not said what was damaged, or the extent of the damage.

School officials told 7NEWS the vandalism was cleaned up before the school day began.

In a statement, Lynn Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Evonne S. Alvarez said, “We appreciate the work of the Lynn Police Department in investigating the weekend incidents and the custodial staff in having our buildings ready for an uninterrupted school day today.”
