ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) will be holding a public workshop on Wednesday for improvements to the Empire State Plaza in Albany. The meeting will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The public workshop comes as part of the Governor Kathy Hochul’s “Championing Albany’s Potential” initiative, which allocates a total of $400 million to the city of Albany. The effort aims to revitalize the city’s downtown economy and cultural institutions.
Community members are invited to attend Wednesday’s workshop and share their vision for the future of the Empire State Plaza. The goal is to turn the venue into a “space that inspires community connection.”
The workshop will take place at the Empire State Plaza Food Court on the Concourse, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Space is limited so those interested are encouraged to register online.
Free light refreshments will be provided, and parking will be free in the Plaza Visitor Lot (V-Lot). If you cannot make it to the meeting but would still like to share your thoughts, you can fill out an online survey on the OGS website.
