Police have released surveillance footage following a break-in at a Northern Liberties shop that saw a thief make off with nearly 200 vape pens.
Officials shared the footage on social media on Thursday.
According to police, the incident happened at about 4:46 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2025, when an unknown man — described as being in his 20s and wearing glasses, a dark knit hat, dark shirt, pants and shoes at the time the offense occurred — broke into the Star Cloud Smoke Shop, located on the 600 block of North Front Street.
At that time, officials said, the man stole about 170 THCP — or, Tetrahydrocannabiphorol), which is considered a potent phytocannabinoid found naturally in trace amounts in Cannabis sativa — pens from a display case in the store.
Following the theft, officials said the man fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Police are asking anyone who may have information in this incident to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093/3094.
