Fire causes $520K in damage to Williamsville home

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and caused an estimated total of $520,000 in damage to a Williamsville home, fire officials announced.

A total of eight fire departments responded to the fire just after 1 p.m. at 217 Sprucewood Terrace after receiving reports of a fire in an attached garage.

Upon arrival, the house was fully involved and the fire spread to a neighboring house at 223 Sprucewood Terrace.

The fire was under control by 1:35 p.m. An estimated total of $350,000 of damage was done to the structure of 217 Sprucewood and $150,000 to its contents. An estimated $20,000 of damage was done to the outside of the structure at 223 Sprucewood.

The fire remains under investigation.
