A plane crashed in Dover, Delaware, on Tuesday afternoon, according to state police officials.
The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. on Kruser Boulevard near Silver Leaf Lane in Kent County on Tuesday, Sept. 9, police said.
When the Grumman G-164 crashed near the Chandelle Airport, it hit power lines and then landed in a wooded area, according to a spokesperson with the FAA.
Only the plane’s pilot was on board when the crash happened, the FAA said.
Delaware State Police said that they are helping fire and EMS officials as well as federal investigators to figure out what happened.
SkyForce10 was over the scene just before 5:30 p.m. where what looked like the wing of a plane could be seen through a hole in a thickly wooded area.
