Current Needs

• 1 Full-Time Cardiac Anesthesiologist

  • Start: ASAP

  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years

  • Certification Required: TEE Certified

• 1 Full-Time Pediatric Anesthesia MD

  • Start: Q1 2025

  • Shifts alternate between:

    • Pediatrics

    • Ambulatory Surgery Center

    • General Anesthesia

  • Includes both Peds & General Anesthesia

  • No OB

Assignment Details

• Duration: 6 months minimum, with potential extension

• License: Active NC License – Required

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible

• EMR: Cerner / AIMS

• Care Team Model: Yes (primarily supervisory)

• MD:CRNA Ratio: 1:3 or 1:4

• MSO Temp Privileges: Not guaranteed

Cardiac Anesthesiology Details

• Shifts: 8-10 hours

• Call: No

• Weekends: No

• Avg. CV Cases/Day: 10-15

• Case Mix Includes: CV, trauma, neuro, vascular, stroke center, ortho, urology

• Supervisory or Independent: Provider preference

Pediatric Anesthesia Details

• Shifts: Flexible – 8s, 10s, or 12s

• Hours: Guaranteed 40/week (option to add more)

• Call: No beeper call; only in-house (optional nights/weekends)

• Pediatric Case Types:

  • General surgery

  • Ortho

  • ENT

  • Dental

  • IR/MRI

General Anesthesia Details

• Shifts: 8s, 10s, 12s

• Call/Nights/Weekends: Optional in-house

• Avg. General Cases/Month: 3,500-4,000

• Case Mix: Bread & butter, trauma, OB (busy), neuro, stroke, vascular
