Our food manufacturing client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager in Lansdowne, PA
Maintenance Programs
- Build and continuously improve a robust preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance system using CMMS software (MaintainX).
- Lead data-driven decisions to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize equipment uptime.
- Oversee, manage, and prioritize maintenance work order systems, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and invite feedback from operations on satisfaction.
- Assist in issue resolution and work order completion as needed.
- Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to proactively identify equipment issues, safety hazards, and maintenance opportunities.
Strategic Asset & Reliability Management
- Develop, implement, and oversee a long-term asset management and replacement strategy.
- Oversee procurement, , management, and optimization of stock for all critical spare parts inventory through data analytics and procurement best practices.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) processes to resolve chronic downtime issues.
- Own reliability KPIs, including OEE, MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and downtime tracking.
- Establish predictive maintenance initiatives using advanced diagnostics (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc.).
Automation & Technology Integration
- Champion adoption of automation, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), and proactive maintenance solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve production line efficiency through technological upgrades.
- Partner with Engineering on installation and commissioning of new automated equipment.
- Coordinate line design changes when needed and/or improvements are suggested by operations.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team with a focus on skills progression and cross-training.
- Drive technician career advancement through structured development plans and mentorship.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier maintenance talent aligned with company culture and growth objectives.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives, new product introductions (NPI), and process changes.
- Participate in annual strategic planning and capacity expansion projects.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA, USDA, FDA, and internal safety and quality standards.
- Own mechanical and facility emergency response protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through audits, training, and incident investigation as well as the enforcement of Lockout Tagout protocols.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years in a Maintenance Manager or Reliability Engineer role within food manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, automation, and industrial systems knowledge.
- Proven track record managing maintenance KPIs and delivering measurable improvements.
- Experience in developing and improving CMMS systems, predictive maintenance technologies, and Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent leadership, emotional intelligence, Coaching, team development, and communication skills both verbal and written.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement frameworks.
- Capital project management experience projects ranging from $250,000 – $1,000,000
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
