9/28/2025: Feeling like summer all over again

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

Highs in the low 80’s these next few days feel more like late August than late September! Not to worry, fall weather lovers – the fall feel returns in full force in just a couple days time.

High pressure moving in from the west will keep us nice and sunny for much of the week ahead. With all the bright skies, temperatures rise to the low 80’s for most along the Hudson River today. The hills and mountains will peak in the upper 70’s.

Tonight is a bit cooler, but still above average for this time of year – most fall into the 50’s overnight. The Catskills and Adirondacks may briefly drop into the 40’s by the morning.

Another warm day Monday, with only partly cloudy skies and most spots getting up around the 80 degree mark.

Slightly cooler for Tuesday, but it’s not until Wednesday that we get into a more substantial cooldown with highs only in the mid 60’s!

Thursday and Friday mornings look especially cool, with lows around 40 in Albany and potentially down around freezing in the higher terrain! Temperatures look a bit warmer by the start of next weekend.
