2 women arrested for soliciting sex while working illegally as massage therapists: Sheriff

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WFLA) — Two women were arrested after being accused of soliciting sex with undercover deputies at two separate massage parlors on Wednesday.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Narcotics Unit conducted an undercover operation after receiving tips regarding illegal prostitution at a pair of massage parlors in Port Charlotte.

The sheriff’s office reported that in both cases, the deputies entered the business and requested a massage. While lying on the table, they were offered sex by the masseuse for additional money.

Deputies reported that the first suspect, Yuling Zhang, 44, solicited sex with one of the undercover deputies working as a massage therapist at Magnolia Foot and Body Massage, located at 3178 Tamiami Trail, Unit B. An investigation revealed that Zhang did not have a license to practice massage therapy.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zhang and charged her with soliciting prostitution and operating a massage establishment without a license.

Deputies also arrested Li Shen, 54, who they said solicited sex with an undercover deputy while she was working as a massage therapist at Magic Massage, located at 4120 Tamiami Trail, #2.

Investigators found that Shen had previously been arrested on prostitution charges in September 2023, and that her massage therapy license had been revoked in June as a result.

They have charged her with use or attempted use of a revoked massage license in addition to the new prostitution charges, marking her second offense.
