11/6/2025: Staying chilly & breezy

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

The system that brought rain and a bit of wind last night has cleared our area. In its wake, there is a bit of light shower and flurry activity in the Adirondacks and Catskills this morning.

That will fizzle by late morning. The afternoon looks bright and dry, but with a steady breeze blowing in cold air from the northwest, we struggle to warm – most will peak only in the upper 40’s.

Tonight looks calm and mostly clear – both factors that lend themselves to chilly temperatures at night. Expect lows in the 20’s across the region.

Tomorrow is more mild, with highs in the low 50’s. More clouds develop through the day, though, and will give way to afternoon and evening showers.

Those will end on Saturday morning. The afternoon looks dry and mild with highs well into the upper 50’s. More widespread rain for Sunday and into Monday morning. It may be just cold enough in the Capital District for a few snowflakes to mix in early in the day Monday. There’s a better chance for at least a little accumulating snow in the hills and mountains where temperatures will be colder for longer.

Drying out for Veterans Day on Tuesday – but it will be awfully chilly with highs barely hitting the 40 degree mark. Wednesday is cloudy and only slightly warmer.
